SWAT Camp 2010 Best Year Yet
SWAT Camp 2010 "The Best Year Yet!"
As I asked how SWAT (Spiritual Warfare Advanced Training Guys Leadership) camp went this year, I kept getting the same answer from all the guys that I asked, “It was the best year yet!” What an eventful camp it was. To start, this year marked the 4th annual year of SWAT camp. We had one student who has attended all four years. Kyle Wheeler has developed inspiring leadership skills over the last four years and will continue to be a role model for youth as he continues his education at Boise Bible College this fall.
The excitement at SWAT camp continued as Caleb Morris was thrilled to baptize one of his youth ministry students on the last day of camp, congratulations Hawk! What an awesome way to begin our camping season.
This group of young men had an amazing time taking in the lessons, applying what they were learning, and completing the scenarios. From a teachers view, when a student makes the connection between the object lesson being taught and the spiritual concepts it makes it all worthwhile. The young men this year had such great teamwork and brotherhood that even the scenarios ended faster and with better success than in years past.
Congratulations to the 12 young men who successfully completed this year’s SWAT camp. We are all very proud of you and are excited to see you back again next year as a camper or leader!
