5/30/10 Memorial Work Weekend a HUGE Success!

As we arrived to the multi-purpose building, we walked into the door greeted by a large marker board sign listing all of the projects Robin had for us to do. I must admit the list was pretty long and considering last year we did not finish all of the tasks we wanted to accomplish, I was somewhat heasitant that everything was going to get done that was on the list. Add to the stressfulness that the weather was not cooperating on Friday and it seemed pretty grim to start out the work weekend. However, the Lord is faithful and GOOD! Saturday morning more work crews showed up and the sun was shining. Not only did we wipe out Robin's list by Saturday evening, but he also had to create a Sunday "bonus" list of projects!
We want to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who turned out to help with the projects. We had church members from our supporting churches, volunteers from churches who rent our facilities and even square dancers. It was a wonderful time of working together.
Highlights of the weekend are that we were able to FINISH & DEDICATE NEW CAMPFIRE area. We held a prayer dedication ceremony Sunday at 1:30 pm with Robin Harrison having the honor of praying for the Lord's Spirit to always be in that place and asking God to make it a place of decision and life-long impact for the youth that will be gathering there.

Also, we got the former REGISTRATION LOG BUILDING MOVED. It's new location is right next to the director's cabin and has been re-purposed to house the sporting equipment.
